Greensboro Children’s Theatre Holds “In the Soup” Auditions January 11-12
Posted Date: 12/17/2012 8:00 AM

The Greensboro Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for the musical “In the Soup” on January 11-12 at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. Auditions are open to students in grades 4-9 and will be held on Friday from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 1-4 pm. Bring a prepared song with sheet music or a recording without vocals. There will also be cold readings from the script. Scripts can be checked out overnight by calling the City Arts Drama Center at 336-373-2026.

“In the Soup” is based on the French folktale “Stone Soup.” Instead of three soldiers in the folktale, a group of hungry musicians, who have had to sell their instruments, comes upon a starving village and convinces everyone to add to the soup by putting a magic stone in a pot.
