City Waives Yard Waste Restrictions Following the Latest Winter Storm

The City of Greensboro will waive curbside yard waste restrictions through March 28 for all Greensboro residents following the latest winter storm on Thursday, March 6. Any unprepared storm debris will be collected by crews at the curb throughout the rest of March.

Any items brought to the curb after March 28 will need to be prepared as normal yard waste restrictions. For more information on the City’s normal restrictions, visit Solid waste crews will continue to collect prepared yard waste on normal collection days.

Greensboro residents who are able to haul storm debris to the compost facility at the White Street Landfill, 2503 White St., can do so for free through March 22. Residents must provide proof of residency at the scale house with a valid NC driver’s license, and tipping fees will be waived.
