Drama Center Presents “More Fun than Bowling” April 21-23, 27-30
|The Drama Center of City Arts presents “More Fun than Bowling,” a philosophical comedy by Steven Dietz, April 21, 22, 27-29 at 8 pm and April 23 and 30 at 2 pm in the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre, 200 N. Davie St. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $15 for everyone else. Tickets can be purchased online, at the door, or by calling the box office at 336-335-6426.
In “More Fun than Bowling,” Jake, the owner of a bowling alley, replays the frames of his life and is visited by his teenage daughter, Molly, and two deceased wives. But who is that nattily dressed man wearing dark glasses and holding a revolver lurking nearby?
“This show is different in that the characters talk directly to the audience, like a Woody Allen film,” says Rosina Whitfield, director of artistic development for the Drama Center of City Arts. “This play will make people laugh, provide some mystery, and also give them a chance to reflect on the purpose and randomness of life.”
Parking for the show is available at the Church Street Deck, 215 N. Church St. For more information about the Drama Center, visit the center's website.
