Greensboro History Museum Commemorates US Entry Into WWI
World War I was called the 'War to End All Wars' and the United States joined the fight 100 years ago. The Greensboro History Museum honors the 100th anniversary of this event with a free panel discussion and preview of a new exhibit about WWI at 7 pm, Thursday, April 6, at the Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Ave.
Michael Sistrom of Greensboro College, writer Jim Schlosser, and Greensboro History Museum curator Jon Zachman will discuss stories about the nation and Greensboro as the war began. Museum Director Carol Hart will also offer a preview of the new exhibit.
The Greensboro History Museum, a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate, accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, is open daily except Mondays. There is no admission fee.
