Posted Date: 4/11/2017 8:15 AM
The Drama Center of City Arts will hold auditions for its summer musical, “Barnum,” at 7 pm on May 1 and 2, in the Stephen D. Hyers Theater at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. Call backs will be at 7 pm on May 3. The show will be performed July 14-23.

The musical chronicles the life of circus showman P.T. Barnum. The production combines elements of traditional musical theater with the spectacle of the circus. Characters include jugglers, trapeze artists and clowns, as well as real-life personalities such as Jenny Lind and General Tom Thumb. There are roles for actors, singers, dancers, and clowns ages 5 and older.

To be considered for a lead or chorus, please bring a prepared song with sheet music or acoustic accompaniment and be prepared to move. To be considered for a role in the circus, you may prepare a short circus routine and should be prepared to move during your audition.
