A community information meeting about the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite Water and Sewer Improvements Project is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 pm Thursday, June 22, at Providence Grove High School, 5555 Mack Lineberry Rd., Climax. The public is invited to attend anytime during the meeting.
The design of the water and sewer improvements along with maps showing the project area will be available for review. The project team will be available to meet with property owners and answer questions about utility easements and the utilities project process.
The Triad is pursuing an economic development opportunity that may bring thousands of new jobs to the community. The Greensboro-Randolph megasite is planned as the home for a major employer that would provide new manufacturing and supporting jobs, benefitting the entire region.
As part of the Greensboro-Randolph megasite project, the City spent the last two years completing preliminary field surveys and examinations of properties along the proposed alignment of the water and sewer pipeline. Survey results were used to determine a design and need for utility easements. Once easements are acquired and permits are obtained, construction may begin.
