City Hosts Public Art Block Party August 17
Posted Date: 8/10/2017 2:30 PM

City Arts, in partnership with Greensboro Participatory Budgeting, will host a free Public Art Block Party for residents to watch contemporary artist Daas complete two large-scale murals from 6-10 pm, August 17, on Bellemeade Street between Elm and Greene streets. The event will also feature local fine artists Brian Jeremy Lewis, Gina Franco, Mitch Cook and Jamin Ginyard creating aerosol art pieces and other interactive art experiences. Food trucks will be selling food and beverages at the event.

Daas has been working on two, 80-foot-tall Bellemeade Parking Deck murals that were one of the Participatory Budgeting Cycle One projects approved by City Council District 3 residents. Daas is known for his colorful, geometric paintings and murals, and his work can be seen in cities across the globe.
