Eleazer "Lee" D. Hunt
Director of Information Services
The Information Services Division includes Watch Operations Center, Telephone Response Unit, Crime Analysis Unit and Records. Information Services processes, maintains, reviews and analyzes most of the information and data generated by the Police Department, and is the primary point of contact with the public whenever information, reports or data are requested.
Lee Hunt is the director of the division. He originally joined the Greensboro Police Department in 2001 as a Crime Analysis Supervisor and has more than 17 years of experience in law enforcement and crime and intelligence analysis. Hunt also worked with the High Point Police Department as a crime analyst and consultant in the field of Intelligence Led Policing.
As director, Hunt's role is to research and lead a range of complex projects that include comprehensive workload/staffing analysis, beat/division realignment to improve patrol response, updating the strategic plan to include Problem-Oriented Policing, Intelligence Led and Predictive Policing, and implementing a Web-based crime mapping application.
Hunt earned his Ph.D. in anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
