FS modelPurpose: The GYC Fashion Show promotes a positive self- and body-image for young men and women by showcasing fashions that fit all body types, as well as raises awareness about issues that affect teens, such as bullying.  

Theme: The theme for the fifth annual GYC Fashion Show is "Written in the Stars."

Show: This year's show will be Friday, March 10, 2017.

Are you interested fashion or running a fashion show? Volunteer positions are open to serve on the Fashion Show staff. This is a great way to earn your service learning hours and something you love.

Below are the positions. For detailed duties, download the Fashion Show Staff job descriptions.

  • Show Director (major staff) - works with the models
  • Backstage Director (major staff) - creates props for the show
  • Chair Assistant (minor staff) - works with Fashion Show Chair to recruit volunteer
  • Show Director Assistants (minor staff) - assists Show Director with the models and selecting fashions
  • Backstage Assistants (minor staff) - assists Backstage Director in making props

What is the difference between major and minor staff?

The major and minor staff work with the Chair to have a plan and carry out a successful fashion show. Major Staff positions serve as the lead for that area ensuring the duties are completed on time. Minor Staff work with the Major Staff in doing so. Volunteering your time as a staff member is all about teamwork.  

2017 Fashion Show Chair: EKyrah Morrison 

EKyrah is a sophomore at Eastern Guilford High School and is the 2017 Fashion Show Chair. As chair, she is responsible for making sure all areas of the show, including models, props, and music, work together. EKyrah is also apart of the Liturgical dance program at Powerhouse of Deliverance and youth department. Her hobbies are art, writing, stepping, cooking, and listening to music.
