The 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast, hosted by the Human Relations Commission, takes place from 7:30-9 am Monday, January 18, at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons/Koury Convention Center.
The 2016 guest speaker is Franklin Gilliam Jr., chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
Performing this year will be Dr. Stefan Stuber and the Grimsley High School Jazz Band, Josephus III's Gate City Youth Slam Team, and Belles of Harmony. Brittany Hudson, a UNCG student, will be the mistress of ceremonies.
This annual breakfast is in honor of Dr. King's contributions to human rights. Read more about the history of this event.
