Fun. Free. For Teens.

SNL offers free summertime events and activities for Guilford County teens ages 13-18. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest SNL news.

SNL 2017 Schedule

This year SNL features craft, dance, cooking, photography, and science classes, as well as special events like pool parties, movies and more.

SNL special events
SNL at the Sportsplex – Six Fridays of pickup games, pizza, a DJ and games. Arrive by 9 pm.

Teens Only Pool Parties – Chill out all summer long at various recreation centers.

Magic to Blow Your Mind – Experience the edge-of-your-seat excitement of magician Jim Light.

Teen Break Out Room – The end of summer bash at the Central Library features a puzzle to be solved with team work, so bring a friend.

Making Proud Choices – Teens who attend all four days of this workshop on teen pregnancy and STD prevention will earn a $50 Visa gift card.

Top Chef Teen – Classes will cover everything from proper mixing techniques to stir-fry basics. 

Photography Workshop – Learn the art of photography from professionals. This eight-week class includes fundamentals and travel photography.

Hip Hop and More – Express yourself through hip hop and other dance forms.

Upcycling Workshop – Three sessions teach you how to make crafts with found objects.

Fandom Makerspace – Make crafts inspired by your favorite fictional series, help design a Post-It note mural, and use the 3D printer.
SNL summer learning

Girls Leadership Edge
 This five-week workshop is designed to teach middle school girls how to become leaders with courage, compassion and confidence. To register, call 336-373-2734.

Greensboro Youth Council Service Learning Camp – Learn more about food insecurity and working with people with disabilities. Registration required. 

Show Me The Money! Economy Jr. – August 13, 3-4:30 pm, Glenwood Library. Learn how to spend money wisely.

Founded in 2012, SNL is a collaboration between Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation, Library and Police departments to offer structured and engaging activities for area teenagers throughout the summer months.
