Camp Joy is an inclusive camp for ages 5 and up of all abilities. The camp is a program of the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, provided through the MainStream Resources Unit.

Campers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with a completed and approved application and medical form. There are a limited number of spaces available in each cabin.
Session 1 and 2 are designed for campers with various disabilities, including but not limited to developmental disabilities and visual and hearing impairments. Accessible Adventures is specifically designed for persons with physical disabilities.

Twenty two unique individuals comprise the Camp Joy team along with numerous volunteers. The Camp Director and Assistant Director head up our team along with a registered nurse bringing experience from diverse backgrounds and school systems. Eighteen counselors, typically special education school teachers or college-aged students, provide the direct care and assure that all the camper’s needs are met. Each staff person completes counselor training.
Hagan Stone Park
Hagan-Stone Park is a 409-acre park located in southeast Guilford County. The park includes accessible trails, playground, pool, and picnic shelters. Camp Joy is located at Hagan Stone Park and includes six cabins, activity building,
art cabin, and picnic facilities.
