Serving Claremont Courts in Police Division 4, Zone 430
Officer L.D. Guy
Officer Guy began her career with GPD in 2003, became a sworn officer in the Central Division in 2009, and has served as a Community Resource Officer (CRO) in Central Division.
"I learned what community policing was all about and felt it was a welcomed change the department implemented to better serve the community" Guy says. "I worked the MLK corridor project for several weeks improving the living environment of the residents in that area."
Moving to PNRC was an easy transition for Guy, coming from a community-oriented policing assignment. At Claremont Courts, she is connected to the lives of some of the residents. "My presence in this community has had a positive impact in shattering the stereotype of the rough officer," she says. "My office door is always open to any of the residents who have issues, concerns, or just want to talk. I love having the close relationship with this community."
Officer M.O. James
Officer James has been with GPD since 2011. She started her career working on Patrol in Eastern Division. While working patrol, she received two life-saving awards. After a few years, James made a career change and joined the Police Neighborhood Resource Center (PNRC) in 2015. She is excited about her new position and welcomes its challenges.
James is currently serving in the US Army as a reserve soldier with 10 years of service. She is a thrill-seeker and loves to travel.
