The Friends of Greensboro Parks and Recreation Foundation, the City of Greensboro, and local tennis advocates have launched a $4 million capital campaign to fully modernize and expand the aging Spencer Love Tennis Center, located at Jaycee Park in the heart of Greensboro’s Battleground Parks District.
Once complete, the renovation and expansion project will almost double the court space, allowing popular local tennis programs to expand. It will also make Spencer Love an attractive location for large, regional tournaments that will significantly increase the sports tourism revenue to local businesses.
