The City of Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) is evaluating issues related to the closure of sections of Old Battleground Avenue, Cotswold Terrace and Cotswold Avenue, and the relocation of Cotswold Avenue to Lake Brandt Road due to the NC Department of Transportation’s Greensboro Urban Loop project.

The GDOT staff wants to hear from residents who are affected by these changes as it reviews options for:

  • future road connections,
  • permanent road closures including at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park,
  • changes to Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) Bus Route 8,
  • and other steps that can be taken to address area and neighborhood traffic concerns.

Review this information handout for an overview of the issues affecting the area and to review five design alternatives for the Cotswold and Old Battleground intersection. (For more details, see the area map, designs for Alternative 1, 2A, 2B, and 3, as well as the revised GTA Route 8 and the Fire Department travel times map.)

Survey is now closed. Results to be posted when compiled.
