City Parking App Tops 5,300 Users
Posted Date: 11/15/2017 8:45 AM
Since it launched in July, more than 5,300 Greensboro residents have downloaded the Parkmobile smart phone app to pay for parking at City meters and surface lots. It has steadily grown in popularity over the last four months. Last month, the app was used to pay for parking 2.5 times more often than in July. In October, approximately 15 percent of metered parking fees were paid through the app.

The app has proven to be a popular alternative to using coins at a parking meter or pay station. Parkmobile users can pay to park by using a credit card, PayPal, or Masterpass. The app will alert you when your meter is about to expire. If you have not already exceeded the time limit at your meter, you will be able to remotely buy more time to park.

Parkmobile is available for use at all meters and three City-owned downtown surface parking lots. Locate the green Parkmobile sign on the meter or near the pay station to identify your parking location and choose how long you wish to park.
