City residents are invited to a Participatory Budgeting (PB) celebration from 6-8:30 pm, Thursday, December 7, at the Central Library, 219 N. Church Street. The winning projects for PB Cycle 2 will be unveiled at this event.
PB allows residents 14 and older to decide how to spend up to $100,000 per City Council district. This year, residents submitted 388 ideas for projects. Volunteer PB Budget Delegates and staff evaluated the proposals and put 41 projects on this year’s ballots. Residents voted from October 23 to November 18 to choose the winning projects.
Visit the PB Website
for more information on the process.
