Plummer Drive to Close for Water Main Repairs

GREENSBORO -- The City of Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) announces the immediate closing of Plummer Drive between Friendly Avenue and Foxcroft Road. The break of an underground water line has caused pavement damage in the roadway, and repair work has begun. Officials anticipate Plummer Drive will reopen Friday, August 3 at 4 pm. A detour has been established for drivers from Plummer Drive to Friendly Avenue to Starmount Drive to Foxcroft Road to Plummer Drive. 

In addition, one lane of Friendly Avenue has been closed in the westbound direction between Starmount Drive and Westridge Road. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving and watch for repair crews in the area.
