Y2K Briefings to Be Held 

The Guilford County Industry Forum and Greensboro - Guilford County Emergency Management will co-sponsor a monthly series of Y2K briefings beginning Thursday, March 11. All briefings will be held at Novartis (410 Swing Road), from 10 am to 12 noon. There is no cost and the public is invited to attend. Topics include:

• March 11 ~ Utilities (Utility Representatives)
• April 8 ~ Finance Nations Bank (Merrill Lynch)
• May 13 ~ Emergency/Medical (Emergency Services & Hospital Representatives)
• June 10 ~ Regulatory Impact (EPA, OSHA, RCRA,+ SBA)
• July 8 ~ Transportation (Trucking, Airlines, Railroads, Pipelines, DOT)
• August 12 ~ Citizen Preparedness (Home Readiness/Retail)
• September 8 ~ Educational Facilities (Public and Private Representatives)

The representatives for tomorrow's Utilities panel discussion are: Jim Kelley with Duke Power, Mitchell Johnson with the City of Greensboro, Lloyd Shank with the City of High Point, and Judy Byrd with BellSouth.
