Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 1,500 gallons of untreated wastewater from sanitary sewers. The discharge occurred on Tuesday, October 26, 1999 for approximately four (4) hours. The wastewater entered North Buffalo Creek of the Cape Fear river basin. The stoppage occurred due to tree roots and an excessive amount of grease in the main. The roots and grease were cleared, and this line will be placed on a preventive maintenance schedule.
