National Drinking Water Week Activities 

The Water Resources Department will have a display booth at the Greensboro Children's Museum during National Drinking Water Week. Hours of the display will be May 9 - 13 from 9 am - 12 noon and also May 12 from 6-9 pm. The display will feature information about our drinking water and educational activities for children.

Posters from the National Drinking Water Week poster contest will be also displayed at the museum May 9 - 13. The contest, sponsored by Greensboro's Water Conservation Program and the Guilford County Cooperative Extension Service, was open to first and second graders in Guilford County. The theme of this year's contest is "Save water. It's in your hands." Contest winners are:

First Place: Caitlin James, 2nd Grade, Lindley Elementary

Second Place: Patrick Anderson, 1st Grade, Colfax Elementary

Third Place: Landon Kinsey, 1st Grade, Jesse Wharton Elementary

These winners will advance to the AWWA (American Water Works Association) State competition.
