Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 50,000 gallons of untreated wastewater from our sewer main located at 3801 Boren Drive. The discharge occurred on July 4 for approximately 4.5 hours due to a contractor leaving a plug in the sewer line. The untreated wastewater entered South Buffalo creek of the Cape Fear river basin. The plug was removed and the creek flushed to prevent further discharge.

This notice was issued in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215.C.
