Safelight Piedmont Program Kickoff January 31 

SafeLight Piedmont will celebrate the installation of its first traffic camera on Wednesday, January 31 at 1:30 pm at the intersection of North Main Street and Eastchester Drive in High Point. Greensboro Mayor Pro Tem Yvonne Johnson and High Point Mayor Koonce will be in attendance as well as city managers, police chiefs and transportation directors from both cities. SafeLight Piedmont is the red-light camera program at various signalized intersections throughout the two communities. The goal of the program is to decrease the number of motorists who run red lights and to improve safety at signalized intersections.
