National Drinking Water Week Activities 

The Water Resources Department will host an exhibit at the Natural Science Center during National Drinking Water Week. Hours of the display will be May 7 - 11 from 9 am to 1 pm. The exhibit will feature information about our drinking water and educational activities for children.

Posters from the National Drinking Water Week poster contest will be also displayed at the Natural Science Center May 7 - 11. The contest, sponsored by Greensboro's Water Conservation Program and the Guilford County Cooperative Extension Service, was open to first and second graders in Guilford County. The theme of this year's contest is "Every Day is a Water Smart Day … at home – at school – at play." Contest winners are:

First Place: Keemon Ingram, 2nd Grade, Brooks Global Elementary

Second Place: Brennen Lieske, 2nd Grade, Morehead Elementary

Third Place: Timbi Sheperd, 2nd Grade, Colfax Elementary

These winners will advance to the American Water Works Association state competition.
