Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 5,000 gallons of untreated wastewater from the sewer main located at Merritt Drive and I-40. The discharge occurred on May 20 for approximately two hours due to a contractor (Santero Ind) hitting an 8-inch sewer main. The untreated wastewater entered South Buffalo creek of the Haw River river basin. The main was vactored, jetted, and flushed, and the creek flushed to prevent further discharge.

This notice was issued in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215.C.
