Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 2,000 gallons of untreated wastewater from our sewer main located at 2901 Haig Street on the outfall. The discharge occurred on June 23 for approximately one hour due to an 8-inch main stopped with heavy grease. The untreated wastewater entered North Buffalo creek of the Haw River river basin. The main was vactored and jetted and the creek flushed to prevent further discharge.

This notice was issued in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215.C.
