Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 5,000 gallons of untreated wastewater from the sewer main located at 5000 Hobbs Road. The discharge occurred on August 30 for approximately four hours due to a contractor hitting a 14-inch sewer main. The untreated wastewater entered Horsepen Creek tributary of the Haw River basin. The main was repaired and the creek was flushed to prevent further discharge. 

This notice was issued in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215.C.
