Notice of Untreated Sewage Discharge 

The City of Greensboro had a discharge of approximately 5,300 gallons of untreated wastewater from our sewer main located at the intersection of Lamont Court & Autumn Drive. The discharge occurred on October 10 for approximately four hours due to a bypass pump failure. The bypass pump was being used due to construction of a sanitary sewer main. The untreated wastewater entered North Buffalo Creek tributary of the Haw River basin.  The bypass pump was repaired and the creek flushed to prevent further discharge.  

This notice was issued in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215.C.
