Yard Waste Restrictions Remain in Place

Normal City of Greensboro yard waste restrictions remain in place for debris generated from Hurricane Isabel. City officials surveyed the damage from the storm and determined it was not sufficient to warrant relaxing regular requirements. In the two weeks since Isabel, Environmental Services crews have found numerous households with storm debris that is not in keeping with restrictions.
 
All yard waste must be bundled to code as follows:
· Place yard waste in containers no larger than 32 gallons.
· Bag yard waste in clear plastic bags. Filled bags must not be heavier than 50 pounds.
· Tie yard waste in bundles no more than 5 feet long and no heavier than 50 pounds.
