Communities in Motion Day

 On Thursday, October 16, the Greensboro Transit Authority will join with transit agencies across the nation to celebrate Communities in Motion Day.  Communities in Motion is a two year-old program developed by the American Public Transportation Association to celebrate the many benefits of public transportation in the community. While transit clearly benefits those who use it, the community as a whole benefits in the form of economic development, reduced congestion, cleaner air and more livable communities.

Attractions on Thursday will include free giveaways to several trivia transportation quizzes, including a grand prize of tickets to the upcoming 50 Cent concert.  94.5 The Beat will be on site at the depot to broadcast the event and award the grand prize to one lucky winner.  The drawing will take place at approximately 4 pm … you must be present to win!
