Sixteenth Street Brige Replacement Begins November 27
GREENSBORO, NC -- (December 21, 2006) – Sixteenth Street between Hubbard and Yanceyville Streets will be closed beginning Monday, November 27 as the City begins bridge replacement. The portion of roadway is expected to remain closed to thru traffic for about one year.
The closing is required for contractor APAC Atlantic, Inc. to begin replacement of the Billy Crash Craddock Bridge that crosses Norfolk Southern Railroad at Sixteenth Street. Barring construction delays, the new bridge and roadway will open to traffic late November 2007. Detour routes will be clearly marked for motorists during this time.
