Marathon Reading Honors Anne Frank's Birthday

GREENSBORO, NC (June 9 2006) – Monday, June 12 From 10 am to 7 pm at Central Library

To celebrate Anne Frank’s birthday, Central Library is holding a marathon reading in the rotunda on Monday, June 12. Volunteers from the community have signed up to read from Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl from 10 am to 9 pm. Each reader will read for 10 to 15 minutes. In addition, the public is invited to write in a community journal in the rotunda about a personal experience or impression related to the book.

This year’s One City, One Book selection is Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. Starting in September, the Greensboro Public Library will lead the community in the reading and discussion of this world classic.
