Annual Job Fair – May 4 @ Greensboro Cultural Center

Businesses interested in filling vacancies are encouraged to attend the Third Annual Teen Job & Volunteer Fair at the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center (200 North Davie Street at the corner with Friendly Avenue), May 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Sponsored by the Greensboro Public Library, last year’s event attracted over 2,000 teens seeking employment and volunteer opportunities. Non-profit agencies seeking volunteers are also invited to participate.

Teens 16 and older can interview on the spot, submit job applications to companies that are hiring and explore volunteer opportunities with non-profit organizations. Please come  dressed to interview, bring resumes if you have them, a list of references and a pen.

The library is also sponsoring two job workshops on Wednesday, May 3 to help teens prepare for the Job Fair and to provide tips on finding a job. At 7:00 pm representatives from Guilford County JobLink Career Center will offer basic tips for filling out applications, appropriate attire and interviewing. At 8:00 pm Chick-Fil-A manager Allison Roach will share insider tips on what her company looks for in prospective employees.
