City Offices to Close in Observance of Martin Luther King Day
GREENSBORO – City of Greensboro offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. The holiday schedule affects a number of City services, including:
- Garbage collection – No garbage, recycling, bulk trash, yard waste or appliance pick-up services will occur on Monday. Monday’s trash collection will take place on Tuesday, January 16. Tuesday’s trash collection will take place on Wednesday, January 17. Thursday and Friday collections remain unchanged.
- Garbage disposal – The White Street Landfill and Solid Waste Transfer Station will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.
- Libraries – All branches of the Greensboro Public Library will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.
The holiday will not affect GTA bus service. Buses will operate on a normal schedule. For more information, call the City’s Contact Center at 373-CITY (2489).
