High Point Road / W. Lee Street Public Kickoff Meeting Set for January 30 Residents invited to give input on the corridor and surrounding areas
GREENSBORO – The City of Greensboro will host a kickoff meeting on Tuesday, January 30 to get input from residents on ways to revitalize and enhance the High Point Road / West Lee Street area from South Eugene Street to I-40.
The meeting will take place in Meeting Room 1 of the Coliseum Special Events Center from 6-8 pm. At the meeting, City planners will outline the schedule for improving the area and ask for public input on issues, priorities, and opportunities for the corridor and its surrounding areas, including the Greensboro Coliseum and UNCG.
The High Point Road / West Lee Street area was identified in the City’s Comprehensive Plan as one of several areas that would benefit from visual improvements and increased economic opportunities. In addition, several neighborhoods along the road have planning efforts underway, including Glenwood and Lindley Park. The City hopes this process will encourage both public and private investment in the area.
Anyone interested in helping to improve this area should plan to attend the public meeting. For more information, call Mike Kirkman at 373-4649.
