Going Downtown for the Block Party Event? Ride GTA or HEAT!
HEAT system provides service tonight until 3 am

Greensboro -- In anticipation of capacity crowds and parking in the downtown area for this evening’s Tournament Town Block Party , Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) encourages attendees to ride Higher Education Area Transit (HEAT) or GTA downtown for the event featuring Daughtry. Three of HEAT’s six routes directly serve the center city area including Route 70 (East HEAT), Route 71 (West HEAT) and Route 72 (City HEAT). In addition, most GTA routes converge at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot directly adjacent to the block party area.

Fares for GTA and HEAT are only $1.10 per trip with free transfers. However, qualified students of HEAT partner schools can access HEAT and GTA fare-free using their student ID cards or HEAT semester fare-cards provided by their institution. The HEAT buses will continue to serve the downtown area tonight until approximately 3 am, enabling attendees to access convenient and safe transportation during the entire event. Full route schedules and maps for HEAT are available at www.rideheat.com. GTA schedules are available at www.greensboro-nc.gov/gta.
