Guilford College Road Closing Scheduled May 1-4

GREENSBORO – The City of Greensboro announces the temporary closing of Guilford College Road from Swing Road to Market Street beginning Tuesday, May 1 at 9 am. The closing will allow railroad grade crossing construction work by Norfolk Southern Railroad. The roadway is anticipated to reopen on Friday, May 4 at 6 am.

The signed detour route for northbound traffic will follow Guilford College Road to Swing Road to West Market Street and back to Guilford College Road. Southbound traffic will use the same route in the opposite direction. Motorists are advised to use caution and follow the signed detour route. Daily commuters are advised to consider an alternative route around the area if possible as there could be significant traffic delays.
