Greensboro Firefighters to Participate in Motorcycle Ride Benefit

GREENSBORO -- August 22, 2007 -- Members of the Greensboro Fire Department will take to the highways on Saturday, September 29, to help raise funds for the families of the Charleston Fire Department fallen firefighters. This ride is open to the public. The riders will meet at the Public Safety Training Facility, 1510 North Church Street, Greensboro.

Registration will begin at 8 am. Cost is $20 per rider, which includes t-shirt, door prize ticket and food. Riders will leave the Training Facility at 10 am, arriving at Davis Harley-Davidson in Burlington. 

Charleston Fire tragically lost nine members of their Department on June 18 of this year. To date, 78 firefighters have lost their lives; six of those in the State of North Carolina. For more information, contact Greensboro firefighter Tommy Braswell at 337-9095.
