Greensboro Gets a Big Sweep
GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 17, 2007) -- On Saturday, September 15, over 400 volunteers of all ages from throughout Greensboro helped clean up more than 500 bags and several truckloads of litter and debris from streams, roadsides, neighborhoods, and public areas as part of the Big Sweep Cleanup.
The Big Sweep in Greensboro kicks off a series of cleanups throughout Guilford County between September 15 and October 6 as part of a cooperative effort between Greensboro Beautiful, the City of Greensboro, City of High Point, Guilford County Health Department, and the Guilford County Environmental Services Department. This countywide effort will culminate in a litter pickup in High Point on Saturday, October 6.
