Final Public Meeting Planned for Input on Gateway Signage

GREENSBORO, NC (September 18, 2007) –  How do you know when you’ve entered Greensboro? As communities in the Triad have grown in recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to determine when you’ve left one city and entered another. For this reason, the City of Greensboro’s comprehensive plan, Connections 2025, calls for the use of gateway signage to clearly mark significant entrances into the city. By using gateway signage, Greensboro can welcome guests, celebrate its unique identity and improve the visual character of public spaces and roadways.

A group initiated by Action Greensboro will seek support and comments from Greensboro residents during the last of three public meetings on Thursday, September 20, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Branch Library, 1420 Price Park Road.
