Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Coming to Greensboro Coliseum

GREENSBORO, NC -- (November 30, 2007) -- The Greensboro Coliseum Complex announced today it will host Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in concert on April 28 at 7:30 pm.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 7 at 10 am and may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com and www.aeglive.com, via Ticketmaster’s Charge-By-Phone Network at (336) 852-1100 in Greensboro, (336) 722-6400 in Winston-Salem and (919) 834-4000 in Raleigh, at Ticketmaster retail ticket center locations including the FYE and Macy’s stores in Greensboro and at the Coliseum advance box office.

The April 28 concert is part of the band’s first series of tour dates for 2008. The extremely successful first leg of Springsteen's 2007-08 tour has drawn ecstatic reviews ranging from Rolling Stone ("Springsteen's New York triumph") to Los Angeles Times ("Invigorating [and] daring") and Washington Post ("simply great").

Springsteen's 23rd album Magic was released in October on Columbia Records and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. Magic has been certified double Platinum in Norway; Platinum in Canada, Ireland, Italy, Holland and Sweden; and Gold in Australia, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. It was No. 1 on the charts in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the U.S. and the pan-European chart.

The concert will mark Springsteen’s first appearance at the Greensboro Coliseum with the
E Street Band since The Rising tour in 2002 that drew 19,271 fans. In all, Springsteen’s has made five previous appearances at Greensboro Coliseum including a two-night stand on January 18-19, 1985, in which he performed for more than 30,000 fans.

Tickets for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are $65 and $95. Two types of tickets will be offered: general admission tickets on the arena floor that allow patrons to stand, club-style, in a relaxed atmosphere, and reserved arena seating around the perimeter of the Coliseum in the lower and upper bowls.
