High Point Road / West Lee Street Meeting Set for November 15 Residents invited to discuss opportunities for the future
GREENSBORO, NC -- (October 31, 2007) -- The City of Greensboro will host a meeting on Thursday, November 15 to get public comment on the future of High Point Road and West Lee Street, from South Eugene Street to Interstate 40. The meeting will take place from 6-8 pm in Meeting Room 6 of the Special Events Center at the Greensboro Coliseum.
During the meeting, the public will have the opportunity to discuss ideas to improve this area, based on previous information received from individuals, groups, and the Corridor Plan Citizen Committee. Comments received during the November 15 meeting will be used to determine the best options for improving this section of the Greensboro.
The High Point Road / West Lee Street area is identified in the City’s Comprehensive Plan as one of several areas that would benefit from increased economic investment and visual improvements. The City hopes this process will encourage and guide both public and private investment in the area.
Anyone interested in helping determine the future for this area should attend this meeting. For more information, call Mike Kirkman at 373-4649.
