City Plans Public Meeting to Review Groundwater Findings
and Corrective Measures for White Street Landfill

GREENSBORO, NC – (November 16, 2007) – The City of Greensboro Environmental Services Department has scheduled a public meeting in accordance with Title 15A NCAC
13B.1635(d) to review the findings and to discuss corrective measures related to impacted groundwater associated with the formerly operated Phase II municipal solid waste landfill of which accepted waste from 1978 to 1997.

The public meeting will be held December 20 at the Peeler Recreation Center, 1300 Sykes Ave., at 6:30 pm. The groundwater studies are available for public inspection at the following locations during normal business hours: Central Library, 219 North Church Street, and McGirt-Horton Branch Library, 2509 Phillips Avenue.

All Greensboro residents are invited to attend.
