City Offices to Close in Observance of Martin Luther King Day

GREENSBORO, NC – (January 11, 2008) – City of Greensboro offices will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following services and facilities will operate on a modified schedule:

  • No trash collection will take place on Monday, January 21. Monday’s collection will be on Tuesday, January 22. Tuesday’s collection will be on Wednesday, January 23. Thursday and Friday collections remain on schedule.
  • The White Street Landfill and the Solid Waste Transfer Station will both be closed on Monday, January 21.
  • All branches of the Greensboro Public Library and the Greensboro Historical Museum will be closed on Monday, January 21.
  • The Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) will offer hourly service only. Connector routes will run on a normal schedule. No HEAT service will be provided on Route 74, and HEAT Routes 73 and 75 will run with reduced frequency.
