GPD Officer Earns Traffic Enforcement Certificate
GREENSBORO, NC – (May 7, 2008) – Greensboro Police Officer Sean Gladieux has completed the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Certificate program sponsored by the NC Justice Academy.
The Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Certificate Program is designed to recognize the achievement of law enforcement professionals who have dedicated themselves to making the highways safer for drivers. Officers who complete the program have mastered several important aspects of traffic enforcement and related topics.
Officers who participate in the program are required to complete 500 hours of training, including 203 hours of core courses, such as at-scene traffic crash investigation, standardized field sobriety testing, and drug enforcement for patrol officers.
Gladieux, a 13-year veteran of the GPD, completed the program in April with 543 hours of coursework.
“Officer Gladieux is a dedicated officer with an enormous amount of experience in the field of traffic safety,” said Assistant Chief Ron Rogers. “His commitment will make the city of Greensboro safer for our citizens.”
