Suspect Identified in Craig’s List Hoax

GREENSBORO, NC -- (May 22, 2008) –Greensboro Police have determined that a threatening message posted late Wednesday on Craig’s List was not credible. The message that was posted on the website detailed a shooting at a trucking terminal near Piedmont Triad International Airport. Police have identified a suspect in the case, and the investigation is continuing.

Police were alerted to the message about 11 pm on May 21 and identified a suspect within a few hours.

Police said the company that was the subject of the message has been notified of their findings.
