Child Safety Event Includes Car Seat Checks and Computerized Fingerprinting
GREENSBORO, NC – (May 28, 2008) – The Greensboro Police Department and the Greensboro Fire Department will participate in a free child safety event on Saturday, June 7, from 9:30 am to 2 pm at Coldwell Banker Triad, 1505 Westover Terrace.
At the event, parents will receive a digital photo of their child, a child safety journal, a home DNA identification kit, and an FBI-certified biometric fingerprint profile. Each of these items help improve the chances of quickly recovering a missing child.
Biometrics is the newest and most advanced technology available for obtaining fingerprints, according to event sponsor LifePrint. Biometric fingerprints can be submitted to the FBI database immediately after a child is reported missing.
The event will include car safety-seat checks by the Greensboro Police Department, and a Greensboro Fire Department truck will be on display.
