City Announces Drop Box for City Payments
GREENSBORO, NC -- (June 18, 2008) – The City of Greensboro Collections Division is offering a new, convenient way to pay City bills for services and even parking tickets. A drop box for city payments has been installed at the J. Edward Kitchen Operations Center, 2602 S. Elm-Eugene Street and is ready to accept payments. The box is located on the exterior wall to the left of the building's front entrance. Another drop box is planned for installation at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot Transportation Center in July 2008.
The drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to accept payments. No cash payments may be deposited in the drop box; only checks or money orders are accepted. All payments must include a payment stub to assure proper credit.
Payments deposited in the drop box will be posted by 5 pm on the next business day following deposit. If your water service has been turned off, you will need to pay your bill in person during normal business hours from 8 am to 5 pm.
