Greensboro Transit Authority Bus Fares to Increase July 1

GREENSBORO, NC – June 30, 2008 – Beginning Tuesday, July 1, Greensboro Transit Authority will implement a new set of fares for GTA and Specialized Community Area Transportation services.
As part of a previously approved plan, the base fare for a single ride on GTA or SCAT will increase 10 cents and now will be $1.20 per trip. Senior citizen and disability fares will increase 5 cents. Transfers will remain free of charge. GTA will continue to offer multi-ride discount passes available at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot, GTA Administrative Offices, City Hall, all Greensboro Public Libraries and other sales locations.
