Representative Mel Watt to "Trade Places" with GTA

GREENSBORO, NC – (August 5, 2008) – Tomorrow, Greensboro Transit Authority will welcome Representative Melvin Watt as GTA participates in his “Trading Places” program. The 12th District Congressman will work alongside customer service agents at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot Transit Center on Wednesday, August 6 from 4 to 5 pm.

Watt will be performing ticket sales and other customer service duties for GTA passengers and visitors. The visit will allow the Congressman to experience the everyday working and commuting environments of his constituents while getting feedback on their concerns. In addition, Watt will take an opportunity to present medals of honor to three local veterans. The presentation will take place prior to his work shift beginning at 3:40 pm at the Depot.
